I started working with Adam in 2019. I set out looking for that ripped body you see on magazines etc... After only a few weeks i got that and a whole lot more. 

Life had been a bit of a bumpy road at times for me over the last year and a half and i was feeling alot of anger and frustration at times. Training was going great, my body was looking great but i was struggling with other aspects of life. One day it was all building up so i decided to drop Adam an email and told him what had been going on. Very soon after sending this email he gave me a call and after a long chat and both sharing experiences he started to help me see things in a different light. He would share his personal experiences and struggles that he had over the years which made me feel comfortable opening up about things.

Over the next few months we had a few calls and emails where Adam helped me alot. I remember him saying to me on a couple of occssions that there's positives to come from every bad situation but i couldn't see this at first. After a few more calls over the next few weeks i started to see some good coming from the "bumpy road". I was feeling alot happier in myself, less stressed, a hell of a lot less anger. I used to let a bad day turn into weeks but with Adams help i have significantly minimized those kind of days which don't even last a day now.

While Adam's knowledge of how the body works is excellent, his knowledge of how the mind works really is something else. He gives his everything to each and every one of his clients, he genuinely cares about people. The support he offers to make people happier about themselves not just in their appearance but in their mind is fantastic. He has definitely helped me see and deal with things in a whole different way and i'm very gratefull for it.

“Having followed Adam on facebook for several months, i was in awe of the transformations i was seeing, some in as little as 12 weeks! I was already a regular gym goer and had used personal trainers on and off over the last 5 years but had never really achieved the results i was looking for. I'd pretty much given up hope of losing the belly before meeting Adam.

5 years of trying. Of depriving myself. Of struggle and disappointment. With the end result being a small reduction of just over 10kg and no change to the waist size.

Adam has helped me understand more about nutrition, exercise and physique within the first 3 months, than I'd learned in a lifetime beforehand. Plus the results showed dropping 10kg in the first 3 months.

Within a year I'd lost 40kg and 18" off my waist line. I felt better than I had in over a decade.

And I wasn't depriving myself of anything!

Even the covid restrictions weren't going to stop me. As we continued for the second year learning and adapting to home workouts, along with equipping my own home gym.

Then with the group photoshoot being pushed back 3 times! It was emotional seeing my picture in the back of the photographers camera. Not one I hated or tolerated or thought was ok. One that looked fricken awesome!

By the time the shoot came I'd lost just over 50kg and 20" off the waist line. I've taken up sailing, can fit back into my kayak and reignited by love of cycling.

There are no words I can say that can thank Adam enough. They say the greatest compliment is imitation and I have retrained and enjoying helping others who are on a similar journey to myself, building muscle, losing fat, gaining confidence and feeling fab!

“My last check with adam, and it's fair to say we have been on a journey, I can't believe how far I have come since we started 24 weeks ago, I have hit so many personal achievements not only got stronger and hit so many PBs you have been more than just a online coach, Adam has been there at every step of my journey anytime of the day or night if I've been unsure or lost my mojo fire of a email and adam will explain everything and why, he's also not afraid to tell you straight.! In my diet phase of my plan at the start I felt I may of been asking questions every other day but adam did not mind he helped loads and with his knowledge he has guided me thru a diet cut and lean gains and what results I achieved ...! “I have worked with personal trainers both 1-2-1 and online before and never got the results I wanted and always ended up back where I started. About 4 months ago, if not longer, I contacted you to enquire about your online training and transformation programme as I knew I needed to do something; I was stuck in a rut and feeling crap. “I first started working with Adam when I had the desire to get ripped for my 50th birthday. I had ‘played' with going to the gym over the years, subscribed to Men’s Health and tried to find my own way. I would jump between different regimes, but overall the direction was confusing and I would inevitably fail, fall off the wagon and revert to old ways, which included drinking too much. Working with Adam was the game changer I needed. My training became my highest value, I was motivated to get ripped and I was now accountable. Adam was putting his time in and I didn’t want to let myself or him down. We worked together for over a year and I achieved my goal. Before I started working with Adam I went to the gym 5 days a week and other than getting fitter and feeling better, physically looking at me you’d think I’d not even walked past a gym.

As soon as I started with him I knew things were going to change because of his demeanour, attention to detail and willingness to help.

Having been in gyms since the age of 16 with no tuition or guidance from anyone I ate my way up to 18 stone plus. Out of breath constantly, I tried dieting got down to 16 1/2 stone. I had to change, I tried several personal trainers all to no avail. I could not lose any more weight. Could not get my desired 6 pack. By chance, I was going through friends facebook posts and saw a picture of a totally amazing ripped guy called Adam Bates

That second my life changed, one email later and I signed up

After numerous failed attempts postponed due to lockdowns we finally fixed a date to do our shoot with Matt marsh.

Without Adam’s considerable advise and assistance I would have never have felt in a position to be able to get in front of a camera.

With the 12 week to go button pressed, Adam meticulously planned training and nutrition each and every week with tweaks after check ins. I certainly complicated matters with a 2 week holiday right in the middle of the 12 weeks. But Adam took it all in his stride, reassuring all the way. His knowledge is second to none and translates what can be quite technical information into simple to understand instruction.

I certainly couldn’t have done this without his guidance, wisdom and above all inspiration.

I met some amazing people on the day that I’d only facebooked or zoomed with and to see them in person and listen to their stories is truely inspiring. But the single most inspiring thing in all our lives is Adam Bates. We could never have achieved these things without you! I have been weight lifting and training now on and off for around 10 years but have never had any professional guidance, I had always just kind of learnt stuff from other guys in the gym etc. Also I’d never had any professional guidance with regards to nutrition and basically just ate what I thought was healthy and as much as I could with the aim to get bigger and stronger. I then got to the point mid 2018 where I was bored of doing the same routine week in and week out and not really getting the results I wanted, I was getting bored of training and wanted to try something new to improve my physique. This is when I contacted Adam, I had seen his posts on Facebook and Instagram of his other clients amazing transformations for a long time before I actually emailed him but always thought the photos looked too good to be true and it sounded like a lot of money. We had a chat by email and I was keen to give it a go. I must admit though after I transferred the payment for my first 12 week plan,

I remember thinking god I hope this is worth it and not some kind of scam,

but once I’d received all the training plans and diet I knew it was legit! Even though I had trained for so long and thought I knew what I was doing, Adam has taught me so much with regards to training and nutrition. The knowledge he has is just incredible! I have currently been working with Adam now for 36 weeks. I started with a 16 week cut and lost over 20lbs in body fat, I am now into week 20 of my lean gains and I’m loving every minute of it! I am stronger than I’ve ever been and in the best shape I've ever been too! I definitely intend on working with him long term and seeing just how far I can push myself. For anybody reading this and wondering (like I did) if it’s worth doing, believe me, if you’re prepared to give it 100% and follow everything he teaches you then what are you waiting for?? Well I won’t tell a lie, I was absolutely shitting myself at the thought of starting a fitness and diet regime on the 4th of January. We had just arrived back from two weeks all inclusive in the Maldives on the Saturday and my journey started on the Monday morning. Can you just imagine the panic buying I had trying to source all these weird and wonderful powders and supplements two days before we started. I was totally clueless but equally excited, super nervous to start but knew I was in safe hands!

The first week I felt like I spent the whole week in the kitchen cooking and measuring and weighing and eating. This seemed trickier than the exercise itself!!!! I was so surprised by the quantity of food to be honest, one meal eaten and I was preparing the next... not that I was complaining!!! And good old Boris was right behind me all the way and decided to close all the bloody gyms the day after I started so I was now facing that extra challenge. Luckily I had the amazing and super organized Ben by my side, who sent me a ‘workout from home action plan’ while I trawled the internet to find some kit for home. So after a shaky start, we got going and here we are 12 weeks on, I’m still
Alive, the gyms are still closed but boy am I a different person.

I started this journey with Adam and Ben as I wanted to get rid of my mum tum and tone up, little did I know how much other amazing stuff happened and how much value I would get from this ‘investment in myself’ (well that’s what I refer to it as)

I cannot express how amazing I feel, obviously how I look and how much my shape has changed dramatically in 12 weeks. I have abs, biceps, triceps, back muscles, I’m lean all round, my stomach is flatter, my bum is tighter (apparently) my clothes are fitting better and I look so different, I’m so bloody happy.

It is so satisfying to look in the mirror every morning and see how my body has changed I cannot express my gratitude for the support I’ve had in the last 12 weeks. The most biggest change I felt with this training regime is how it’s made me feel and I will put this above the way I look any day. I have a very busy life running a hospital and a clinic, two children at home to add to the mix, my life is hectic to say the least.

Was I 100% with the diet, no? Did I miss any training sessions- yes (but only 3!) Did I haul my ass off the sofa when I just wanted to chill- hell yes. Did I have the odd glass of wine and cake- of course. So the biggest take home from the last 12 weeks is what I learned about myself. And without boring the shit out of you, I am a different person than I was 12 weeks ago. I’ve dropped the perfectionist and giving myself a hard time. Dropped the ‘Mum guilt’ BIG TIme, put myself first each and every day by making time for my training and my food rather than seeing to everyone else first. It became my non negotiable every day! My skin is amazing, I’m sleeping like a baby and I am so full of energy , I’m literally buzzing. I’ve lost the desire to eat crisps and bread and I am much more focussed at work and more productive in general. And I have to say here that I am so proud of myself and what I have achieved, that in itself is huge.

It’s been a truly amazing experience, I could not have done it without Ben in the background cheering me on and motivating me and holding my hand throughout.

The highlight of the week was his inspiring voice notes. Which btw are legendary and always put a huge smile on my face and I may have relistened to them over and over as they made me feel so good. Pure motivational content in there that got me fired up every Sunday for a new week. 

Words do not do it justice but honestly the best thing about these past 12 weeks is the life lessons I have learned. knowing that it’s a marathon not a race, the things I’ve learned and the tools I’ve been given during these 12 weeks will stay with me forever. It’s a lifestyle, not a diet and week on week I was learning so much and getting so much value it was insane. 100 % recommend this programme for everyone.... so much so, I’ve signed up for another 12 months.  Excited to see what the next few moths hold and of its anything like the last 3 months we’re gonna kill it.

Huge thanks to the two geniuses AKA Adam and Ben..... they need a bloody Nobel Prize to keep me on as a client!!!! You guys are so bloody awesome 😎 here to the next 52 weeks (eek!)

Firstly, I want to thank you both for taking me on this lifestyle journey. As you know I trained with you Adam for the first time around 8 years ago and I got into a phenomenal great physique with 8% body fat, abs on show the works and since then I have been on and off training with no real consistency.

Before the first lock down I was training, I have been an all or nothing kind of person for training, If wasn’t training I wasn’t eating right and if I was training I was all in. As we all know gyms closed, equipment became sparse and what you could get was a real premium.

I am a very busy professional with 3 kids and when the 2nd lockdown hit us, I was luckily enough that I had converted my garage into a studio so I had everything I needed apart from motivation. It was work, sleep and seriously on repeat and this is where I need some help.

With starting with Adam and Martin again, the main goal was to make training and eating correctly part of my DNA. This has been my problem for years, binge training and binge dieting – none of this has been sustainable.

During our 12 weeks I had a potential medical problem which stopped me from training for 8 days, BUT I kept to the plan for the diet. After a check in with Adam he made me realise that life gets in the way some times and the way I carried on eating right and with no real deviations, one of my objectives of the plan was pretty much complete – the food choice in now part of my DNA.

Like I said I am a very busy professional and my kids have their own busty lifestyles which we have to manage, so where am I now?

Confidence – as you will see from the pictures I look great, maybe not 8% body fat but things are significantly different from 8 years ago, like another child and a job which carries so much pressure. My priorities are a million miles apart from then.

I put a shirt on last week which I have not wore for years and I was so surprised – It fit and I fely amazing that it did – father and sons clothing is harsh if you are not lean 😂

Work – with having the confidence in how I feel and also greater energy levels I am so much more focused on work which has impacted my work significantly – I can’t say too much about it, but if it works – it will be a wow moment.

I do know, that when I am not training or eating correctly i sometimes have no motivation or drive, I don’t believe it is coincidence!

All I can say is thank you!! Mentally and physically I am in such a good place – I have tried to write this for anyone who has a busy life, it is so easy to make excuses not eat right, exercise or even take time for your self – working with Adam and Martin has completed my objectives and with the benefits of the strength of mind will make me more successful –

Thank you both now time for a bacons sandwich, curry, croissant, treacle sponge and 10 beers 👍

"I have always been a fit person in the sense that I have always played sports but having had a lot of issues with my knee I decided to stop playing football which for someone who played five times a week was tough.  I started going to the gym and saw some results however I found i started putting on weight and not in a good way.

When I reached out to Adam, I was a bit skeptical about online coaching. As someone who had done little weight lifting, I just didn't know if this style was going to work out for me at all.

Adam Bates is that person. I was inspired to train with Adam following a conversation with a client he trained. His client was effusive in his praise of Adam, not only as a coach and trainer, but also as a teacher and instructor – accessible, readily available and responsive. I was 59 when I started my program and 3.5 years removed from a heart attack. Initially, my goal was to get my weight below 200lbs (I was stubbornly stuck between 200-205lbs) and lose the ‘Dad Bod’ by losing some body fat. I’ve always been active, fit, played sports and had a (mostly) healthy diet. I knew I needed to change things up, but I wasn’t sure what exactly needed changing or how to best do it.
